Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a poem or a short story or cross-genre X 100?!

Of course it is. You are the queen of introspective cross-genre captures of your brilliant mind ^_^.

It started off as a poem...then it took over my brain.

Thank you! 🖤

I'm sure the intergalactic genre police have my pictures all over their wall.

I doubt it, all your pictures are on my wall.

Gosh, that sounded creepy.

Seeing things the way they really are is enough to leave anyone split and bloody.

So true. Then you want to unsee them. 😆

When I was studying we had a text book, RL Gregory’s Eye and Brain. There was a very interesting chapter on a blind man who regained his sight. It was like he could only see the things he had heard.

Whoa. I think there's another story here.

Indeed! The reverse of how we normally think, which is to see something then attach the sound to it.

This is super weird in the very best way. It is like the inside of my head.

While reading this, I thought of black & white photography that has a single object colorized like a red rose or whatever. In your case, the red is all blood.

That's how I should have edited the photo!! With selective focus.

Haha, yes. That's the only place my mind goes. 🖤

Omg I loved this so much. Just yesterday I was discussing this thought experiment with a friend (I was trying to defend the view that she acquires a kind of knowledge-how, as opposed to knowledge-that, when she starts to see red.) Fabulous stuff Deb! 🖤

Fascinating, Deb. A green apple wouldn't cause the same reaction. The fact that it was a red apple speaks volumes, I say ;) I'm red apples all the way. My husband is green. WTF. Who did I marry!

This is brilliant! (Now I want an apple 🤭)

Same, my partner prefers green apples, and they're just so sour? I would need sugar with them. I agree, there's just something about the color red...

Me too. Thank you! 🥰
